Kappa Alpha Lambda Sorority, Inc.

Kappa Alpha Lambda Sorority was founded October 19th, 2003.  Our Founder was committed to the creation of a Sorority for lesbian women which continues to be unlike any other.

In keeping with the inaugural vision of the Sorority, Kappa Alpha Lambda’s focus today is to provide a “positive fraternal experience” for professional, Lesbian women.  In the three years of KAL’s establishment, the Members of worked to distinguish themselves among LGBT Sorority women.

Historic Sorority Accomplishments:

  • Only LGBT Greek organization to sign the Human Rights Campaign’s Millions for Marriage Petition
  • Only LGBT organization to develop a Financial Education Program
  • Only LGBT organization to arrange a strategy meeting with a State Congressional Official
  • Only LGBT organization to initiate action in protest of human rights violations in Darfur, Sudan.

The intention of the body of Kappa Alpha Lambda is to continually expand and increase our visibility in the marketplace.

Kappa is full of accomplished women who have a passion for service.  We are educators, entrepreneurs, mothers, students, friends…and most of all, Sisters.
